FAQs about BLENDED Recovery Modality

What is the BLENDED Modality in addiction recovery?
The BLENDED Modality is a unique treatment approach that combines both evidence-based therapies and holistic healing methods. At Mountain Sky Recovery, BLENDED stands for a mix of proven techniques like CBT, DBT, REBT, 12-step support, and trauma-informed care, along with healing practices like yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness. This approach supports the mind, body, and spirit, offering a more complete path to long-term recovery.
How does BLENDED Modality differ from traditional addiction treatment?
Traditional addiction treatment often focuses on one model, like the 12-step program or medical detox. The BLENDED Modality integrates several clinical therapies, behavioral techniques, and holistic tools into one flexible program. This allows the treatment to be customized for each person’s needs, especially for those dealing with trauma, mental health conditions, or relapse history.
Who benefits most from BLENDED Modality recovery programs?

BLENDED Modality recovery is ideal for individuals who need more than a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s especially helpful for:

  • People with co-occurring disorders (mental health + addiction)

  • Clients who’ve relapsed after standard treatment

  • Individuals seeking a balance of clinical therapy and spiritual growth
This method works well for adults, couples, and those in early recovery who want lasting change.

Is there scientific support for the therapies used in BLENDED recovery?
Yes. Many therapies used in the BLENDED Modality are backed by decades of research. CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is proven to help people manage triggers and prevent relapse. DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) supports emotional regulation. REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) addresses negative thought patterns. When combined with holistic approaches like breathwork and yoga, these methods support full-person healing.

What does a typical day look like in a BLENDED recovery program?

A typical day in our BLENDED recovery program might include:

  • Morning mindfulness or meditation

  • Group therapy using CBT or DBT

  • One-on-one counseling sessions

  • Nutrition and movement (like yoga or nature walks)

  • Evening reflection or journaling
This structured-yet-flexible routine allows clients to explore different tools for healing, build healthy habits, and feel empowered in their recovery journey.
