Our Mission

Mountain Sky Recovery, LLC provides substance abuse treatment and behavioral health services to adults with chemical dependency and related problems. Mountain Sky Recovery, LLC strives to provide the highest quality services by maintaining an array of quality measures that provide information on:

  • The delivery and outcomes of services,
  • The efficiency and effectiveness of our program methods, and
  • The satisfaction of the individuals using our services.

Our Philosophy: We engage, heal, teach, train, house, clothe, and feed people with alcohol and other drug problems. We provide the challenge, the focus, and the compassion necessary for people to change their lives

Program Goals and Objectives

Mountain Sky Recovery, LLC is a drug and alcohol treatment center designed to serve adult clients (18 and over) of all ages. Mountain Sky Recovery, LLC Substance Abuse Program Objectives emphasize dealing with urges, triggers, relationships, and emotions in recovery, as well as reducing maladaptive behaviors.

All guests entering the program will have the opportunity to undergo:

  • Medical History and Substance Abuse History
  • Psychiatric Evaluation
  • Clinical Assessment
  • Collaborative Treatment Planning
  • Drug screens conducted at random on clinical appropriateness, upon entry, and monthly at a minimum
  • Therapeutic modality: Group Therapy and Individual Therapy
  • Individual sessions
  • Social Activities: Recreational outings, gym/pool, outside twelve-step meetings; SMART meetings;
  • Refuge/Dharma meetings, etc.
  • Spirituality and Mindfulness opportunities to formulate or continue to grow each guest’s own spiritual nature or mindfulness practice.

Additionally, patients will have a set of tools to help them with anger, depression, anxiety, emotions, social interactions, and other aspects that help them in their daily life.

Michael Carlyle

CEO/CCO, Co-Founder

Michael believes in an integrative approach that deals with the underlying emotional issues that are simultaneously present in substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Michael’s approach is a holistic, strengths-based orientation, that empowers clients to develop their inherent talents, skills, and resources.

Michael draws upon his own experience in recovery to help inspire his clients and he is a firm believer that anyone and everyone can recover, and he works tirelessly to ensure that all clients and their families are given the love and support, and coping tools they will need to achieve the changes they seek in their lives.

Travis Bauer

CFO/Co-Founder

Travis has been treating individuals with addictions since 2010 in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. With a proven track record in mental health and substance abuse treatment, he believes in working in partnership with clients and their families to help them utilize their strengths to sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. He understands how to motivate people to be their best selves, and believes in a client-centered recovery process, utilizing numerous clinical modalities, and cutting-edge techniques.

Russ works in recovery because he knows firsthand the life-changing power it holds. He’s been at rock bottom—homeless, in jail, and running with a rough crowd. But through it all, he found a way out, and he’s living proof that no matter how far you’ve fallen, recovery is possible.

Today, Russ has achieved goals he once thought were out of reach: a loving family, a fulfilling career, and a life lived to the fullest. It’s an honor for him to work at Mountain Sky Recovery, where he helps others on their own path to healing. By sharing his personal experiences, he brings hope and strength to those just starting out.

Chris Schuessler

Program Director

Chris Schuessler serves as the Program Director for Mountain Sky Recovery, where he brings both professional dedication and lived experience to his leadership. With a strong belief that recovery is a deeply personal journey, Chris is passionate about helping individuals not just overcome addiction, but understand the need behind the need for substance use. His approach combines structure, compassion, and a drive to meet people where they are, supporting them as they uncover the root causes of their struggles and begin to heal from the inside out.

Having walked his own path through addiction and into recovery, Chris knows firsthand what it means to lose yourself—and what it takes to reclaim a life of meaning and purpose. He now channels that insight into empowering others to do the same, helping them rediscover what was traded away and build something even stronger in its place. “All paths are a personal journey,” Chris says. “Let’s work together to find your secret recipe for success.

Tiffen Spragle

CATC III (Cert# 2214836 III) Clinical Supervisor/Primary Counselor

As the Clinical Supervisor and Counselor at Mountain Sky Recovery, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to my work in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. Being in recovery myself, I know firsthand the challenges and rewards of this journey. With four years in the field, I am passionate about creating a supportive and compassionate space where individuals can heal, grow, and rediscover their strength.

Working in a detox and residential setting, I strive to meet each person where they are, offering guidance and encouragement as they take steps toward lasting change. Recovery is not just about overcoming addiction—it’s about building a new way of life. I am honored to walk this path alongside those who are ready to embrace a brighter future.

In addition to my current role, I plan to further my education in the near future to continue expanding my ability to support individuals and families impacted by addiction.

Danielle Dean

Case Manager

Dani is a dedicated Case Manager at Mountain Sky Recovery, where she brings deep compassion and a strong sense of purpose to her work. With a passion for helping others reconnect with themselves and rediscover their worth, Dani supports clients through some of the most challenging yet transformative moments of their recovery journey.

She understands the pain of feeling stuck, broken, or not enough—and she believes wholeheartedly in the power of change. Dani walks alongside her clients as they learn to love themselves again, build self-confidence, and find their unique path to lasting sobriety. For her, witnessing growth and healing is one of the greatest gifts, and she is honored to be part of each individual’s journey to recovery.

Amanda Mitchell

Administrative Director

Amanda, chose to work in recovery after realizing her passion for helping others. Her past struggles—including encounters with CPS, jail time, and recognizing the stagnation of those around her—showed her the importance of resources and support for change. Now, she dedicates her life to guiding others on their recovery journey, using her story with honesty and transparency to inspire hope. The greatest reward of her sobriety has been reconnecting with her family. To Amanda, working at Mountain Sky Recovery isn’t an obligation; it’s a privilege. 

She lives by the motto: “Life doesn’t change if you don’t change it.”

Kelli Osborne

As the chef at Mountain Sky Recovery, I bring more than just meals to the table—I bring a deep passion for supporting individuals through their recovery journey. With a background as a RADT-certified professional and experience as a behavioral health technician, I’ve seen firsthand how vital comfort, care, and consistency are to the healing process.

My role allows me to blend my love for cooking with my commitment to helping others. I specialize in creating Southern-inspired recipes that provide warmth and nourishment—comforting clients from the inside out. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared to support both physical health and emotional well-being, because I believe food can be a powerful part of recovery.
